Privacy policy

vetted.supply is operated by Super Legit LLC, a Texas limited liability company. It helps hardware teams find US manufacturers. We collect what we need to run the service: your email if you give it to us, what you search for, and the requests you send. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell personal information.

• Account details. If you create an account: your email address, your company name if you enter one, and a one-way hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
• Searches. The text you type into the search box, how it was interpreted, and which suppliers were returned. A search is linked to your account if you are signed in. If you are not, it is linked to a scrambled identifier derived from your IP address; we do not keep the IP address itself in the search record.
• Introduction requests. Your email, your company name if you give it, and your description of what you need made.
• Profile verification. If you verify a manufacturer profile: your name, work email, job title, and any note you add.
• Updates list. Your email address, if you sign up for updates.
• IP address, briefly. We use your IP address to limit how many requests one visitor can make. It is held for a few days at most for that purpose and then discarded. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.

• To run searches and show you matching suppliers.
• To introduce you to a supplier when you ask us to.
• To review verification requests and contact the person who made them.
• To send the emails you would expect: confirming your address, resetting your password, replying to a request, and updates if you signed up for them.
• To prevent abuse of the service.
• To understand what buyers are looking for, so we know which processes, regions, and suppliers to add next.

We share personal information only in these cases:

• Suppliers you ask to meet. When you request an introduction, we pass your request to that supplier, and your contact details once they accept it. That is the purpose of the request.
• Companies that run parts of the service for us. Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Upstash (request limiting and short-term caching), Resend (sending email), Google (our mailbox), and Anthropic (the AI model that interprets your search text). Each receives only what it needs for its part.
• When the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users from fraud or abuse.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Search text is stored and is processed by an AI model. Please describe your part in general terms. Do not enter export-controlled technical data (for example ITAR or EAR-controlled information), classified information, or anything your employer or customer treats as confidential.

We set one cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

Supplier profiles are built from information manufacturers publish on their own websites: equipment, capabilities, certifications, and location. If you represent a listed manufacturer you can verify your profile to correct it, or email howdy@vetted.supply to have it corrected or removed.

We keep account details for as long as you have an account, and searches, requests, and claims for as long as they are useful for running and improving the service. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

• See, correct, or delete your information: email howdy@vetted.supply from the address in question.
• Stop update emails: reply to any of them and we will take you off the list.
• Without an account: you can read about the service and browse the list of shops by name, location and process. Searching, datasheets and introductions need an account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will honor a valid request wherever you are.

vetted.supply is a business tool for people sourcing manufactured parts. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
